2008 Summer Reading CampsWelcome to 2008 Summer Reading Camps, a site to discover how struggling third graders can improve and achieve! Summer Reading Camps offer students who scored a Level 1 on the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) opportunities to advance and improve their reading skills. During the Summer Reading Camp experience, students are guided through skills in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension, providing these students high quality reading instruction in order for them to achieve the goal of reading on grade level. Please contact your local school district office for specific details within your school district. Districts across the state have conducted hundreds of successful Summer Reading Camps, allowing children the opportunity to improve their reading skills.All district data is due October 1, 2008.
