08/24/06 3 stars The Call of the Wild is about a dog named Buck. It tells of Buck’s adventure in Alaska after he is sold by his master’s gardener to repay a gambling bet. After arriving by train, he quickly learns the Law of Club and Fang. He learns respect after numerous beatings by clubs. He learns about survival of the fittest and the benefits of being top dog. Through out the story he has many jobs and masters and learns much about survival.

06/30/06 4 stars This book may confuse some people, but to me it was an excellent book. I love the details to scenery and everything overall. Also to me it had a unique story line.
05/27/06 3 stars this book was okay. if you are into the gory type books you would like this very much. i am an animal lover, so i guess that is why i didn't like this book so much because of the dog fights.

05/17/06 5 stars This is an awesome story. It follows a dog that goes from an easy life on a ranch in California to running with a pack of wild wolves in the cold artic. It's a GREAT story especially for dog lovers.
